Imphal, March 27 2025: Classic FA pulled off a breathtaking stoppage-time comeback to defeat Sreenidi Deccan FC 3-2 in the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2024-25 at Reliance Corporate Park, Mumbai, on Thursday.

Sreenidi Deccan FC started brightly, asserting control in the opening exchanges.

Their early dominance paid off in the 11th minute when Levis Zangminlun, capitalising on a defensive lapse, slotted home calmly to give his side the lead.

The goal injected confidence into Sreenidi's play, as they looked to dictate the tempo with crisp passing and aggressive pressing.

However, Classic FA grew into the game and began exploiting spaces on the counter.

Their persistence was rewarded in the 22nd minute when Bharat Lairenjam latched onto a precise through-ball before coolly finishing past the keeper, restoring parity.

The equaliser shifted momentum, with both sides creating half-chances, but neither could break the deadlock before half-time.

The second half was a cagey affair, with midfield battles intensifying and clear-cut chances at a premium.

Just as the match seemed destined for a draw, Sreenidi Decean struck in the 85th minute- Emboklang Nongkhlaw pounced on a loose ball inside the box and fired his side back into the lead, sending their bench into raptures.

With time running out, Classic FA threw men forward in desperation.

Their relentless pressure bore fruit in stoppage time when Blessing Keishing (91+1) struck in the equaliser.

Then, in the dying embers of the match, Yendrembam Rohit Singh became the hero, driving forward before unleashing a low strike that nestled into the bottom corner- sparking wild celebrations among the Classic FA players and staff.

The final whistle confirmed a remarkable 3-2 victory, capping off an unforgettable night in the RFDL .
