Imphal, February 12, 2011: The ongoing drive of the Electricity Department against authorised and defaulting consumers has also began in the border town Moreh from today.

On the first day of the drive led by EE of Chandel N Kunjeshor Singh, the Department managed to collect Rs 1,40,000 as taxes from the defaulting consumers.

Along with disconnecting unauthorised power collections, some individuals arrested in this regard have also been taken into custody by Moreh Police Station.

Today�s drive was conducted between the point of office of Custom Prevention Fort, NH-39 to 11 KV sub-station and the drive would continue tomorrow from the point between Moreh Police Station to Moreh Gate no.2, EE Kunjeshor as informed.
