After decades of negligence by the Government, a major water supply scheme is coming up at Sajik Tampak.
In this connection, Chandel Assembly constituency MLA Thangkholun Haokip visited the spots having potential to install the water supply scheme which would be taken up under NLCPR at the cost of Rs three crores approximately.
With the identification of the spot where the water supply scheme would be constructed, Thangkholun assured that construction of the water supply scheme would begin in February and the same would be commissioned before the next Assembly elections.
The water supply would provide tap water to around 10,000 people of Sajik Tampak and surrounding areas.
Intake water source of the water supply scheme is Kana river.
Talking about transport infrastructure, MLA Thangkholun said that construction of two bridges over Kana river would begin from February.
