Imphal, January 28, 2011:
DESAM has alleged UCM president Yumnamcha Dilip for duping innocent students through the S Kumar Nursing Institute.
DESAM shutdown S Kumar Institute of Nursing along with the institute's Paramedical course and Acupressure hospital permanently.
The S Kumar Acupressure Training and Hospital was established in 2002 by Yumnam Saratchandra @ Yumnam Engba, his sons Yumnam Surjitkumar and Yumnam Dilipkumar and close relative Yumnamcha Devananda, as Chairman, Proprietor, Managing Director and Advisor.
Subsequently they also established a Paramedical Institute and S Kumar Nursing Institute.
These characters had been duping innocent people in the state with the help of fake affiliation certificate which had a forged signature of JP Das, Director, National Institute of Medical Sciences.
Its first session of JNM course commenced on August 2009.Till now the institute has failed to issue admit cards to its students for the annual examinations.
All the Yumnam family went missing when the students demanded their admit cards.
They have also refused to pay back the money they had collected from the students.
Yumnamcha Dilip is continuing to fool the people of the state by saying that the institute is arranging to attach its students to an institute outside the state.
It seems that Dilip is not aware of the fact that the seats in all Nursing Institutes are limited under the Indian Nursing Council Act.
DESAM has asked the Yumnam family to tender an apology to the people of the state and to pay back their students their admission and other fees which the Yumnam family had collected.
It is unfortunate for the people of the state that Yumnamcha Dilip who is the president of the United Committee Manipur (UCM) is fooling the people of the state and duping money from innocent students.
DESAM has expressed expectation that UCM will take up immediate necessary action against Yumnamcha Dilip for his fraudulent acts.
DESAM has also appealed to the UCM to extend cooperation to its efforts to return the admission and other fees, original mark sheets, certificates and other documents which the innocent students submitted to the Nursing Institute at the time of admission.
