COTA meets Census DG

Imphal, February 12, 2011: Members of the Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) today met the Director General of Census Operation at Hotel Classic, Imphal and discussed about the work out of the teachers from census duty.

State Director, Thamkeshore was also present during the meeting.

DG himself assured the teachers to discuss the matter with the Chief Minister during his stay in the state.

Meanwhile, a press release of COTA alleged that jail authority of the state that they are not providing proper health care to the striking teachers inside the jail.

More than 20 teachers have become ill due to unhygienic drinking water.

Moreover they are not taking the ailing teachers to the hospital unless the teachers' condition becomes worse.
