FIR slapped against 3

Imphal police station has registered an FIR against the general secretary of a women's body and two others on numerous charges.
The charges include conspiracy to commit offence, assaulting President, Governor etc, waging war against the Government of India and provocation with intent to cause rioting, promoting enmity on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence and language etc.
The FIR was registered based on a complaint lodged by S Liben of Heingang Makha leikai before the OC of Imphal police station against general secretary of National Federation of Indian Women, Annie Raja; National secretary of National Federation of Indian Women, Nisha Siddhu and Advocate Deeksha Duivedi.
The complainant alleged that the three women in a press conference held at Manipur Place Club abused the Meira Paibis of Manipur and termed the protest of Meira Paibis against the resignation of Chief Minister as staged drama.
The complainant also alleged that they termed the present crisis as State sponsored riot/violence without any conclusive evidence.
Acting on the complaint, Imphal PS registered the FIR under different sections of the IPC for further investigation.
