Rene-wing the hope of love and unity among the Nagas and Kukis as the theme, newly crowned Orange Queen for this year, a befitting recep-tion function was hosted in honour of Miss Hoirose Sitlhou at Grace Bhavan in Motbung today.
On the other hand while Holrose Sitlhou walked away with the Orange crown, Ranupati came a close second to finish first runners with Makulinliu Golmei emerging as the gracious second runners up.
The new Orange Queen is the youngest daughter of the six siblings born to Seipu Sitlhou, who is the Chairman of Sadar Hills Autonomous Council (ADC) and S H Kim.

Seipu Sitlhou is a Kuki and his wife SH Kim belongs to a Naga community of Tamenglong district.
Chairman of Tamenglong ADC Soihen Golmei, members of both Tamenglong and Sadar Hills ADCs, representatives of Women Society, Thadou Students' Association and leaders of various communities were present during the reception function.
Speaking at the occasion, Soihen Golmei observed that winning the coveted title of Orange Queen by Miss Hoirose Sitlhou, whose father is a Kuki while the mother is a Naga woman, is an occasion for joy not only for the two communities but also for all the people living in Manipur.
More such alliances would promote peace and harmony between the Kukis and the Nagas, he added.
Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the reception function, Miss Hoi- rose Sitlhou said that she would like to become a successful interior designer.
After her graduation, Miss Hoirose is currently working in a branch office of a USA-based company at Delhi while pursuing a course in designing from Pearl Academy simultaneously.
Of her interest in social causes, Miss Hoirose said that she would like to give new lease of life to women who have become widows from HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Other than the top three awards, prizes were also given for Catwalk, which went to Sangreela Maisnam, perfect ten to Poujai Riamei, Miss Congeniality to Maibam Elizabeth, beautiful skin to Diana Rao, beautiful smile to Moakala Lusang, Miss photogenic to Shiela, beautiful hair to Makulinliu, beautiful eyes to Mee-naliu Panmei while the best designer title went to Lisa Sangtam.
