Imphal, September 10 2025:
Alleging that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Manipur on September 13 is not about bringing peace or development in the State but is intended to consolidate the colonial rule over Manipur which is already battered by his proxy war, the CorCom has called a total shutdown all over Manipur (Kangleipak) from 1 am of September 13 till he leaves the State.
Announcing that they will boycott Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Manipur, the CorCom said that the total shutdown will not cover medical services, emergency services and water supply.
The proxy war being waged by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah has killed over 250 people in Manipur and displaced more than 60,000 people, the CorCom said in a statement issued to the media.
The Government of India has been simply watching the two years and four months old Manipur crisis because the crisis was engineered by them, it alleged.
It was the Indian Army who forced the erasure of the word Manipur at Gwaltabi.
Even as the people of Manipur have been suffering extreme misery for a prolonged period, Narendra Modi did not bother to speak a single word.
Narendra Modi did speak out loudly and slammed the Meiteis to his heart's content on the parading of two women naked but he (Narendra Modi) went mute when three women and three infants were abducted, tortured and murdered in cold blood at Jiribam, it said.
For election campaigns, Narendra Modi did not hesitate to visit Manipur as he did in 2017 and 2022 but he turned deaf to the repeated requests of the suffering people to visit Manipur during the widespread violence he allegedly engineered, the CorCom remarked.
Since May 3, 2023, Narendra Modi has visited around 50 foreign countries and over 40 places in different States of India but so far he has been avoiding Manipur.
"Having said this, we don't have any desire for Narendra Modi to visit Manipur.
We are boycotting his scheduled visit to remind all the people that he is the head of the Government of India which is keeping Manipur under their alleged colonial occupation", the CorCom asserted.
India's position is clear; they will continue the proxy war until the liberation movement of Manipur is fully suppressed and if the proxy war fails to suppress the liberation movement, Manipur will be balkanised, it said.
The arrogance of Indian leaders is too much.
While farmers are kept away from their farmlands, the Government of India has been working hard to extract underground minerals from Manipur, it said.
People want to know whether Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Manipur is about bringing a solution to the protracted crisis, addressing the suffering of IDPs or inaugurating the new Civil Secretariat or installing a new Government, the CorCom continued.
It asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be able to maintain consistency in what he speaks at Churachandpur and what he announces at Imphal or will he be able to announce that Manipur will not be divided.
When Modi visited Manipur (Kangleipak) on November 30, 2014, the CorCom warned that it was a bad omen and the foreboding came true as witnessed in the widespread violence, religious polarisation and flagrant attempts to disintegrate Manipur, it said.
It alleged that the main motive of Narendra Modi's upcoming visit on September 13 is fragmenting Manipur.
Manipur has already reached the limits of suffering.
Now Narendra Modi's visit will not bring any solace, it said.
Alleging that all the issues and crises of Manipur were created by New Delhi, the CorCom asserted that all these issues and crises must be resolved by the people living together in Manipur.
New Delhi will never work out any solution to any issue of Manipur, it added.
It also called upon all the people of Manipur to boycott the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
