International Association of Lions Club District 322 D extends aid to 5 relief camps

Under the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) India Grant: Manipur Crisis Relief Project, the International Association of Lions Club District 322 D have extended relief materials to inmates sheltering at various relief camps in Bishnupur district.
As part of their continued humanitarian service, the International Association of Lions Club District 322 D distributed blankets, packaged drinking water, rice, sanitary pads and diapers to altogether 2400 relief camp inmates at Loukoipat Old DC office Complex, Mangolnganbi College Ningthoukhong, Phubala High School, Moirang College and Ibudhou Thangjing Guest House relief camps.

The relief extension effort was attended by Dr Santanu Lahkar, District Governor 322 D; Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur district, L Bikram, IAS; IPDG District 322 D Dr W Gopimohon Singh; PDG, GAT ambassadors BP Bakshi, BK Agarwal, M Gojendro Singh, H Manikumar Singh, SDO Moirang W Somendro Singh, SDC Ningthoukhong Robert and other members of the club.
Speaking in this connection, Dr Santanu Lahkar said that he was deeply saddened by the violence raging in Manipur.
Saying that the inmates were being fed well at the relief camps, he appreciated the effort by the Deputy Commissioner to offer fish and meat once a week to the inmates.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner L Bikram expressed his gratitude towards the International Association of Lions Club for providing the emergency grant to assist the victims of Manipur crisis.
