The mega cleanliness drive 'Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath' (One Date One Hour Together) observed across the nation was also observed in Jiribam, Kakching, Thoubal and Tengnoupal district today.
JIRIBAM
The Jiribam Municipal Council conducted cleanliness drives in 20 different localities of Jiribam as part of the 'Ek-Tareekh Ek-Ghanta Ek Saath' cleanliness drive under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
Many notable personalities took part in the drive including Jiribam Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, Caretaker-Councillors, SHGs, local clubs, youth volunteers etc.

Meanwhile, the 87 Bn CRPF Jiribam also organised a cleanliness drive at Jiribam Railway Station today under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Jiribam Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar; Tapan Kumar CO, CRPF; Moirangthem Surjit Singh, JMC Executive Officer; Ajin Thaimei, Executive Engineer, PHED Jiribam, railway staff and members of civil society organisations.
Cleanliness drives were also carried out by the public in many schools, colleges and localities of Jiribam district today.
KAKCHING
Under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, a cleanliness drive "Ek-Tareekh Ek-Ghanta" was held across many parts in Kakching district.
Deputy Commissioner, Kakching Somorjit Salam, officials and staff of District Administration participated in the cleanliness campaign.
Today a cleanliness drive was conducted from 10 am to 11 am Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight campaign in the surrounding areas of Chumnang Community Hall, Friendship Sporting Club and at Veterinary Pareng, Chumnang under Ward Number 4, Kakching Municipal Council.
A cleanliness drive was also conducted from Irong Bazaar to Saw Mill organised by Irong Chesaba Gram Panchayat under Kakching CD Block.
Similar drive was organised jointly at the Industrial Estate, Kuraopokpi by DIC Thoubal/Kakching, Entrepreneurs and the BSF.
Under the Charel Gram Panchayat, Pangantabi Gram Panchayat of Langmeidong CD Block, MSPDCL, Kakching Division participated in the SHS drive.
At Chairel Awang Leikai, a cleanliness drive was organised by Chairel Gram Panchayat, Pradhan, members along with the public.
A cleanliness drive was also organized by Keirak Gram Panchayat under Kakching CD Block at Keirak Yawabung Keithel and Arong Nongmaikhong GP along with DCO Kakching.
Similarly, Wabagai GP and District Child Protection Unit, Kakching organized a cleanliness drive under Pallel GP.
THOUBAL
Led by Deputy Commissioner, Ahanthem Subhash Singh, IAS, officials and staff of the district administration participated in the cleanliness activity under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign.
The cleanliness drive which began at 10 am was held at the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner's Office complex and the surrounding areas as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on October 2 .
Urban local bodies in the district including Thoubal Municipal Council, Lilong Municipal Council, Sikhong Sekmai Municipal Council organised cleaning activities of public places like market spaces, streets, neighbourhood, tourist locations, religious places, office building among others.
Similar activities were also held in all the Gram Panchayats' in the district participated by children and adults alike.
Lilong Municipal Council also conducted social service at heritage site Ibudhou Pureiromba while Thoubal Municipal Council organised a cleanliness programme at Thoubal Ningthou Tangjeng Ningthou.
Sikhong Sekmal Municipal Council conducted cleanliness drives at high school, PHC, Shikhong Forest Beat Office, community hall and clubs' located in wards' under the council.
Meanwhile the District Child Protection Unit, Thoubal conducted social service at Government Children Home for Boys, Charangpat.
Officer and staff of ZEO, Thoubal also participated in the cleanliness drive at the office premises and surrounding areas.
MI Department, Thoubal Sub Division in connection with Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2023 organised cleaning up of accumulated debris and surroundings at Heibi Aroibi Mini Barrage.
Thoubal PHE Division also organised a painting competition for students in relief camps today.
After the painting competition, the participants were taken to the Waithou Water Supply Scheme for sight-seeing.
Meanwhile the District Social Welfare Officer led the observance of International Day for Older Persons at Khangabok Relief Camp at Rice Research Station, Thoubal.
TENGNOUPAL
The Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was also observed in sub divisions of Tengnoupal district today.
District Level Officers (DLOs) and staff of line departments participated in the observance.
The day was also observed by carrying out cleanliness drives at the Deputy Commissioner Office Complex and its premises.
