AR dedicates taekwondo training academy

Imphal, March 07 2025: In its commitment towards youth and community empowerment, Assam Rifles handed over a newly constructed Tazeen Taekwondo Martial Arts Training Academy at Lilong Uku Mamang in Thoubal district under its flagship Operation Sadbhavana projects, on Thursday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Academy constructed in response to local community aspirations, aims to provide a platform to the youths for practicing taekwondo martial arts and channelising their energy in the field of sports.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of around 200 locals, and prominent community leaders including UMPC advisor Makakmayum Islam, Chandel SDC Md Aslam, ex zila parishad member MV Abdus Salam, Manipur Police Training College SP Md Babul Kalam and Lilong Sports Association (LSA) general secretary Ayub Ali Santatomba.

According to the PRO, Tazeen Taekwondo Martial Arts Training Academy stands as a testament to the force's unwavering resolve to support local infrastructure and strengthen bonds with the people of Manipur.
