Meritorious student feted, interaction prog held

Thoubal, October 29 2023: Tulihal Educated Association (TEA), Yairipok felicitated meritorious students of Tulihal village, Imphal East district along with organising an interaction programme cum career counselling at Tulihal community hall on Sunday.

The programme was attended by social activist Lourembam Sanjoy as chief guest and TEA president & retired Manipur Police inspector Alhaj Anamuddin as president, while 16-Tulihal Zilla Parishad ex-member Kongbam Inaocha Devi, Tulihal Gram Panchayat ex-pradhan Md Abdul Khalique, Top-Chingtha GP ex-pradhan Yumnam Tomba, Angtha GP ex-pradhan Thiyam Manihal, SDPO (Yairipok) Md Riyajuddin Shah, social workers Md Habibur Rahaman, Md Abdul Kalam, Md Nazir Ahamed and Ksh Bhogen were present as guests of honour.

During the programme, a two-minute silence was observed in honour of the two students and others who have lost their lives in the ethnic conflict.

The programme was also attended by IGNTU, RCM Department of Social Work research scholar Akbar Khan, Manipur University assistant professor Dr Hamidur Rahaman and professor Chinglen Maisnam as resource persons.

As part of the event, TEA presented Lifetime Achievement Award to two retired teachers, namely, Md Jahuruddin and Md Salamat Sheikh, and retired assistant inspector of school Md Jalaruddin.
