Imphal, October 26 2025:
Even though the violent crisis besieging the State seems to have cooled down, it is not over.
It will go on sporadically and people will face more pain, said former UNLF Chairman RK Sanayaima.
A Ningol Chakkouba celebration was held today at Sawombung community hall under the aegis of Khundrakpam Kendra Tengbang Lup (KKTL) where around 600 displaced women presently taking shelter at Sajiwa relief camp and Sawombung relief camp were treated to a sumptuous meal.
Speaking at the gathering, RK Sanayaima said that the crisis is not over yet.
He said that the Kukis will continue with their aggression sporadically and the people will continue to suffer.

People know very well who are behind the Kukis, he said.
Earlier, it was people from the West who brought hardships to the people of Manipur.
Today, Kukis from Myanmar have become a scourge to the people by challenging the State's integrity, Sanayaima said.
The challenges of today are something which were never experienced in the history of Manipur.
"It is a matter of grave concern that we remain divided instead of taking a collective resolve to fight and overcome these unprecedented challenges', he said.
Driven by their own personal interests, some people have been making all kinds of statements and doing whatever they like.
But this has proved to be a serious impediment towards forging unity and collective strength, Sanayaima remarked.
Questioning how long the people will suffer, he asserted that it is the duty of the Government to bring a solution to the crisis and ease the people's suffering.
But it appears that the Government is not doing its duty with commitment, he said.
Noting that the State's economy has fallen into total shambles and a large number of people, particularly casual workers and daily wage earners, have lost their means of livelihood, RK Sanayaima asserted that the people need to exert strong pressure on the Government to fulfil its duties towards easing the suffering of IDPs and all other people affected by the protracted crisis.
If the Government still chooses to remain deaf and indifferent, the people must take a collective resolve to build a healthy society and a better future, he added.
Monthly pension instituted by KKTL for the martyrs belonging to Khundrakpam AC were also distributed at the gathering where former ICHAM president N Rajendro and KKTL president Maibam Kebi were also present.
