Music adds rhythm to NPF campaign

Ukhrul, April 20 2024:
An election campaign for NPF candidate in Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency K Timothy Zimik was held at Ukhrul town today.
The campaign christened 'Empowerment Summit: A Musical Collaboration with Tangkhul Music Forum (TMF) was organised by the tripartite alliance of the NDA-NPF-NPP.
Transport and Veterinary & AH Minister Khashim Vashum, HAC Chairman Dinganglung (Dipu) Gang-mei, Phungyar MLA Leishiyo Keishing, former Deputy Speaker and BJP Manipur spokesperson Preshaw Shimray and representatives of NPF, BJP, and NPP attended the programme.
At the function, Khashim Vashum expressed his support to K Timothy Zimik.
"I have known Timothy from my college days.
He is a highly reliable person and a man of integrity, the Minister said.
Taking serious note of the misuse of social media, the Minister urged all to refrain from positing negative comments which are discon- nected from the ground reality on social media.
Stating that Timothy is an exceptional candidate who gets support from other communities too, Khasim Vashum said that the alliance "can't afford to lose out on this opportunity" .
Phungamla Zimik, wife of K Timothy Zimik, said that her husband may not be an eloquent speaker but is someone who is manly in terms of decision-making and execution" .
The programme featured a lineup of renowned Tangkhul artistes such as Oshim Soho, Yungyung, Terence, Wungnaoyo, SP Shonshon, PC Makang, Mac Kasar, Kakami Leander, Guru Rew Mashangva, and stand up comedian Pakmi Mahongnao.
They captivated the crowd with a diverse range of performances.
