BJP decries poll violence

While thanking people for exercising their democratic rights by casting votes in the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha election on Friday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi condemned unwanted incidents that happened during the polls.
Addressing media persons at Thambal Shanglen, here, on Saturday, A Sharda Devi said that 7,15,886 voters out of the total 9,99,887 came out to exercise their franchise in the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha election held on Friday and BJP thanked the people for exercising their democratic rights.
However, some unwanted incidents happened at some polling stations and few people suffered injuries, she said and shared the pains of the suffering people.
She also said that BJP condemned the unwanted incidents that happened during the polls.
The press conference was also attended by key functionaries of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
