Dad pleads for safe release of son

Gyanendra Das, the father of missing Luwangthem Mukesh, has appealed for his son's release on humanitarian grounds.
Mukesh went missing on March 16 .
Addressing the media at his residence at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Gyanendra Das said that his son went missing after taking Rs 200 from his mother to buy chicken and leaving in a car.
Saying that they lodged a police complaint after his son didn't return, the desperate father added that his son was last seen at Nambol, Bishnupur side in CCTV footage and he didn't have any companion.
He also said that his son's mobile phone was last traced at Joujangtek area.
Continuing that he attempted to visit Joujangtek alone yesterday but was halted by Assam Rifles personnel, he appealed to all concerned to release his son on humanitarian grounds if he has been taken hostage by any organisation or individual.
He also appealed to the police to exert maximum efforts to rescue his son.
People expected a return to normalcy in Manipur with the imposition of President's Rule, but unfortunately, the situation continues to unfold in a disturbing manner, he rued.
Luwangthem Omi, Mukesh's mother, also made an emotional appeal, begging for her son's safe return.
