AMBA calls out Shah's statement

The All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) has asked Union Home Minister Amit Shah to withdraw his statement which depicted the particular recommendation of the High Court of Manipur as the root cause of the series of violence in the State.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today, AMBA president P Tomcha Meetei continued that the Union Home Minister may regret later if he doesn't withdraw the statement and people take the matter to the Court.
About the situation in Manipur, Tomcha asked why the Government of India is not able to control the Kuki militants who have been attacking civilians till today despite the deployment of large companies of Central security forces.
The AMBA president also spoke about the revelation made by UKLF chairman SS Haokip about the purchase of 10 pistols from former Saikul MLA Yamthong Haokip who is an accused in the arms missing case from the arm kote of 2nd MR in a letter dated June 7, 2019 addressed to Amit Shah.
Saying that the letter mentioned about the certain deal made by BJP leaders Himanta Biswa Sharma and Ram Madhav with UKLF and UPF ahead of the 2017 State Assembly elections too, he added that the Union Home Minister must issue a clarification to all these allegations.
