Addressing media per sons at Kekrupat here on Thursday, Nando said that like in the previous observances the June tribute event will be jointly organised by AMUCO and UCM at Kekrupat albeit in a low key affair.

He further appealed all to take part in honouring the martyrs.

Exhorting all to give a befitting reply to any force trying to disintegrate Manipur, the Committee chairman pointed out elements from across the border are instigating people of certain communities, which have been living together peacefully, to destroy the integrity of Manipur.

Meanwhile, Committee vice chairman Joychandra Konthoujam said that there can be no separate administration in the state and that the territorial integrity of Ma nipur cannot be destroyed.
The central government should understand that an other June 18 incident cannot be ruled out if the govern ment fails to take up steps with due understanding of the sentiments of the people.
