Imphal, June 15 2023:
The Monitoring Group of Lakhimpur in Cachar district of Assam in association with social activist RK Meghen provided relief materials to displaced people taking shelter in relief camps at Phayeng and Naorem Birahari College, Khun-drakpam on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the distribution function, RK Meghen opined that the government of India seems unperturbed over the ethnic violence in the state.
Despite deployment of large numbers of para-military forces in the state, it is still not known where these personnel are being utilised.
Moreover, with RAF personnel resorting to vandalising vehicles parked on the road side in Imphal, commitment of the government of India in solving the ethnic violence in the state is suspicious, he said.
