Bodies back FOCS peace rally

Imphal, March 07 2025: Manipur Federal Organisation (MFO) and Manipur Meitei-Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO) have endorsed the peace rally to be organised by Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) from Imphal to Senapati on March 8 .

In separate releases, MFO and MMWO recalled the review meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on March 1 where four resolutions were adopted including free movement of all people on all roads across Manipur.

In response to the decisions, FOCS planned the peace rally from Imphal to Senapati on March 8, they noted, while reiterating support for the peace initiative of FOCS, and urged people of all communities to join the rally.
