Demise of Prof N Tombi condoled

Imphal, March 20 2025: Manipur University Teachers' Association (MUTA) and Sahitya Thoupang Lup (SATHOU Lup) condoled the untimely demise of critic, writer and cultural activist Prof Nongmaithem Tombi Singh.

In separate releases, the organisations remembered Prof Tombi as a distinguished scholar, an eminent literary figure and a dedicated teacher who made immense contributions for enrichment of Manipuri language and literature.

They prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

SATHOU Lup convened a condolence meeting presided over by its chief patron Rk Budhimanta at RKCS Art Gallery located at Keishamthong on Thursday and observed a two minutes' silence.
