Imphal, March 20 2025:
Imphal West Traffic Control Police Wing, Shija Hospitals and Research Institute and Team 195 BPM observed World Head Injury Awareness Day by jointly organising a mini marathon from Kangla Western Gate to Shija hospitals on Thursday.

Speaking on the sidelines, Dr Palin informed that 60 per cent of head injuries occur due to traffic accidents, while the remaining cases are mostly caused by falls from elevated positions/structures.
Such accidents could be prevented through strict compliance with basic precautionary measures, he stressed.
Dr Palin further said that the mini marathon is being organised to raise awareness about head injuries among the public.
