Imphal, July 18 2024: The Indian Army organised "a day with company commander" to recognise the invaluable contributions of local women at Phougakchao on Thursday.

The event brought together five wives of serving army personnel, ten of ex-servicemen and 80 local women of Phougakchao and nearby villages.

The company commander acknowledged and lauded the women's roles in their families and society, followed by a joint lecture by Reserve Bank, NABARD, State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank officials on financial literacy.

The women then participated in recreational activities, including fun-filled races and a tug of war.

The event aimed to educate and support women in Manipur, providing a much-needed break from their daily routines.

The company commander concluded the day by praising the women's strength and dedication, making the event a fitting tribute to their invaluable contributions.
