Imphal, March 07 2025:
Recognising the cultural significance of Manipuri pony and its declining population, Arambai Tenggol (AT) announced the launch of an initiative to protect Manipuri pony.
In a statement, Arambai Tenggol control room operator Laishram Robason urged pony owners to maintain proper stable for their ponies within the next 20 days, rather than allowing them to wander astray.
Robason also suggested that the pony owners hand over their animal to Arambai Tenggol for better care and service in case one is not in a position to look after them.
He also appealed to the public to contact the nearest AT unit if any pony is found injured on the road and further sought cooperation of the people in protecting and safeguarding the Manipuri pony.
