AR holds recruitment drive, lecture programme

Assam Rifles organised a recruitment drive in coordination With Umoja Marketplace Company to provide job opportunities for unemployed boys and girls of Churachandpur district in Bangalore.
According to PRO IGAR (S), a total of 209 candidate^including 50 girls attended the job interviews out of which 28 boys and 20 girls were selected in Phase I and 25 boys in Phase II, with 21 boys now proceeding to Bengaluru for employment.
An orientation lecture was also conducted at Assam Rifles Unit at Veng village, Churachandpur to felicitate the successful candidates and acknowledge their hard work and determination.
The initiative was part of the broader efforts to address unemployment and empower the youth of the violence-affected state by facilitating employment avenues with companies based in other places including Bangalore and organising interviews, the PRO informed, adding, these efforts will not only provide financial stability to individuals but also contribute in the socio-economic development of the district.
On the other hand, with the aim to educate and motivate the local community on the importance of water conservation and environmental protection, Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture on the theme "Save Water, Save Earth" at Govajang village in Tengnoupal district on Monday.
The lecture highlighted the critical role of water in sustaining life and the urgent need to adopt responsible water usage practices.
Experts from Assam Rifles shared valuable insights On methods to conserve water, such as rainwater harvesting, reducing wastage, and protecting natural water sources.
The session also covered the environmental impact of water scarcity and the importance of community involvement in preserving water resources, the PRO informed.
