Two more netted in Ibomcha murder case

Imphal, July 18 2024: After the arrest of his son; two more individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of Th Ibomcha, bringing the total number of arrests to three.

According to police reports, Th Bhupendra Singh, son of Th Ibomcha, was arrested by Singjamei police on July 13 following registration of a case related to the murder.

In follow-up investigation, police also arrested Huirem Romenjit Singh alias Ingo (47) s/o late Ibopishak from Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai on July 15 and placed in police custody.

Another suspected identified as Akoijam Surchand Meitei (48), s/o late Kunjo Meitei of Uripok Sinam Leikai was netted on July 17 and remanded to police custody till July 23 by the Imphal West duty magistrate.
