AR conducts medical camps, WARB meeting

Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) conducted medical camps at Komlakhong and Phoubakchao villages in Bishnupur district on Thursday to help the underprivileged villagers access basic medical service, strengthen mutual trust and peaceful association with the local populace.
A total of 108 villagers benefitted from the camps, said a PRO IGAR (S) release, adding that the villagers were briefed about precautions to be taken and routine to be followed on a daily basis to ensure a healthy and disease-free family and society.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles organised a Welfare Association and Rehabilitation Board (WARB) meeting on Wednesday at Modi village, Chandel district to address the concerns of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris related to pensions and other emoluments.
The quarterly event witnessed felicitation of 'esteemed' individuals for their exceptional service to the nation.
During the meeting, grievances were attentively addressed, and necessary documentation facilitated to ensure timely resolution.
A total of nine ex-servicemen and Veer Naris attended the meeting.
