NPO executives elected, VP post vacant

Senapati, July 18 2024: List of new executives of the Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has been declared by the NPO election commission on Thursday.

The candidates nominated by their respective tribes were elected unopposed.

The NPO new executives for 2024-27 term are H Kuba Peter as president, M John Thangal as general secretary, PM Suingam as assistant general secretary, Z Elamsappe as finance secretary, Kaisii Kaihe as publicity secretary, Luihing Philip as art & culture secretary, Ng Chunthan as law secretary and Kh Vahrii as treasurer.

The post of the vice president is stated to be lying vacant.

According to sources, the new executives together with unit presidents will discuss and recommend nomination for the same within short notice.

The oath of secrecy of the new executives and handing over charge would be held on July 20 .
