Helps extended to needy, money donated to hospital

Continuing humanitarian service to help the needy, many provided relief materials to relief camps sheltering people displaced due to the conflict situation and also donated money to hospital treating the injured people.
To aid speedy recovery of the injured, M/S Nong-en Remedies Imphal donated a sum of Rs 50,000 to Raj Medicity, which has been providing free and effective treatment to all those affected by the violence as Committee on Present Issue of Manipur (COPIM), Heibok Nupi Samaj Kanba Lup, Sports Club Narankonjin Makha Leikai, Keisham thong Kendra Volunteers Force (KKVF) and Keis-hamthong Kabui Youths' Union provided essential items to relief camp set up at Chairen Junior High School, Khoijumantabi village, Shy-ama Sakhi Girls' High School and to village defenders of Khoijumantabi, Sugnu and Pangaltabi.
Angawandi workers and helpers of 25 Anganwadi Centres of Kakyai Sector under ICDS Project Bishnupur also provided relief items to relief camp set up at SAI Complex, Utlou on Thursday while Leimapokpam Khumpham Apunba Meira Paibi Lup and nine clubs of Leimapokpam on donated Rs 50,000 to United Protection Committee, Nambol, a joint body of 103 clubs, organisations and meira paibigroups.
Meanwhile, Tentha Hei-bung Peace and Relief Committee under Wangjing Tentha assembly constituency provided relief materials to relief camps opened at Kakching Khunou Hijam Angom Leikai, Kakching district and at Tera Khong-sangbi/Khudekpi, Bish-nupur district run by Salai Kanba Lup on Wednesday.
Langmeidong United Clubs Organisation (LUCO), an apex body of seven clubs in Langmeidong area formed under the aegis of Hiyan-glam MLA Dr Radheshyam Yumnam, in association with Langmeidong Higher Secondary School 1997 Matric Batch Friendship organisation also distributed relief materials to the relief camp set up at the school on Thursday.
Earlier, there were 797 displaced persons from Se-rou, Sugnu, Pombikhok, Napat, Kangvai, Chura chandpur and Moreh at the camp.
However, 603 had left to different relief camps and relatives, after which 194 are staying in the camp at present.
