Lilong HC principal escapes life attempt

After Lilong Haoreibi College social & culture secretary Md Amir Hussain was expelled for impersonating in BA/BSc first semester practical examination conducted by Manipur University, miscreants reportedly made a life attempt on College principal Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh.
In a release, Dr Raheijuddin said that Md Amir Hussain (roll no 22102594) was expelled immediately on Thursday as his brother Md Aziz was found impersonating him for the second time in the BA/BSc first semester practical examination conducted by Manipur University.
Md Hussain has been missing since the day show cause notice was issued by the principal for withdrawing huge sum of money from the college's fund and failed to return it.
However, after his roll number was found enlisted among the examinees preliminary investigation revealed that his brother Aziz had appeared the semester exam and as consequence Hussain was expelled immediately.
Later, a huge mob with secretary Md Amir Hussain, finance: secretaiy Umar Hamza, debate & extension secretary Zaheer Abbas and magazine secretary Md Mubin along with their parents attacked the principal's office and made life attempt on him (principal), Dr Raheijuddin said, while informing that 11 people were injured in the attack and college properties worth Rs 43,76,000 destroyed as attempt by Lilong police to control was met with stiff resistance.
He further appealed to authorities concerned to look into the matter and punish the students indulging in such acts of goondaism.
Meanwhile, Lilong Haoreibi College Teachers' Association has condemned the violent incident at the College on Thursday.
In a release issued by its president Md Shahidur Rahman, the Association appealed to authority concerned not to allow such incident to happen again.
