Kakching, March 25 2025: Awards distribution ceremony of Manipuri Yelhou Jagoi (Folk Dance) Changdamnaba 2024-2025 for children below 12 years of age, organised by Kids Cultural Academy, Kakching, was held at the auditorium of Library and Information Centre, Kakching Phousupat Leikai on Tuesday.

The competition was participated by eight teams with 'Kakching Haraoba Jagoi' of Sunday Dance Class Centre, Kakching winning the first position, while Grace Cottage Academy's 'Leima Jagoi' and 'Maibi Jagoi' bagged the second and third position, respectively.

The programme was attended by Kakching Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Naorem Shanjitkumar as chief guest, SK Memorial Music College, Kakching principal Sh Nabakumar Sharma as president and film producer and Manipur Hindusthani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Kakching president Y Nilachandra as guest of honour.

As part of the event, District Legal Services Authority, Kakching advocate Ksh Sarankumari Devi delivered an awareness lecture on 'Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSQ) Act, 2012' .
