10-day book fair begins at MU

Imphal, March 20 2025:
A 10-day book fair organised jointly by Unity Uplift Foundation and College Development Council, Manipur University (MU) under the sponsorship of National Book Trust, India commenced from Thursday at MU auditorium.
The inaugural programme of the fair was attended by MU vice chancellor Prof N Lokendra as chief guest, Unity Uplift Foundation president Salam Tiken Singh as president while MU of Culture librarian Dr Th Khomdon Singh and MU Students' Union president N Suraj Singh were guests of honour.
In his address, Prof Lokendra stated that the performance of the university will not be determined by how the vice-chancellor and other administrators perform in their offices.
Instead, it depends on the quality of research work, how students compete in the world of knowledge, and where they work after completing their courses.
Reminding that two book exhibitions were held in 2024, he said that such book fairs will help expand the world of knowledge and make the varsity more energetic and vibrant by keeping students intellectually and academically active.
