Girls' college celebrates National Youth Day

Kakching, January 12 2024: NSS unit of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal celebrated National Youth Day on the theme 'It's all in the mind' at the seminar hall of the college on Friday.

More than 200 NSS volunteers and students of the college took part in the celebration attended by college principal professor H Manoranjan Sharma, vice principal Dr S Shyamkiran Singh and social scientist Dr Dhanabir Laishram as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dhanabir emphasised on instilling moral values among the student community, stressed on the importance scientific temperament along with traditional and cultural knowledge for well-rounded approach to life.

He and other presidium members also deliberated on stress management, role of youth as an agent of social change and development, nation building and estab lishing an inclusive society.
