AR holds security meet, helps injured person

Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), held a security meet at S Kholen village in Churachandpur district on Monday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the security meet saw the participation of village chiefs from neighbouring areas, and discussions focusing on fostering cooperation and coordination with the security forces.
Village leaders expressed appreciation for Assam Rifles' endeavours to uphold peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, villagers openly shared their experiences, perspectives, and challenges arising from the recent incidents of violence in the area.
Their concerns extended to the critical Churachandpur-Tipaimukh road and the suboptimal maintenance of NH-02, exacerbated by the ongoing crisis.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles on Tuesday provided medical assistance to a resident of Throilok village, Churachandpur who suffered laceration in parietal area on his head.
Thirty-five years old Ngangam Ha-okip was cutting bamboo while working in field.
In the process a heavy bamboo fell on his head and he was rushed to the nearest Assam Rifles base at Songdo with severe bleeding and pain at the site of injury.
The medical staff examined the injury and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised his condition by stitching the wound and achieving homeostasis.
The individual was further referred to District Hospital, Churachandpur for follow-up treatment.
The family thanked Assam Rifles and medical staff for rendering timely medical assistance, said the PRO in a release.
