Senapati, March 07 2025:
In commemoration of International Women's Day, State Bank of India (SBI), Senapati, organised a one-day free medical camp for women on Friday at the top floor of its office.
International Women's Day (IWD) held annually on March 8 celebrates achievements, contributions, and resilience of women worldwide.
It serves as a platform to recognise progress toward gender equality, advocate for policies that promote women's empowerment, and support initiatives related to education, economic independence, and healthcare.
Addressing the media at the event, SBI Senapati chief manager B Sol Chalai highlighted that the health camp was organised as a gesture of appreciation for women's invaluable role in society.
He emphasised that the bank is committed to supporting initiatives that benefit women and acknowledged the participation of SBI customers in the event.
The camp offered consultations in gynaecology, general medicine, ENT, dental care, and screenings for blood pressure and diabetes.
More than 100 women received medical check-ups, and essential first-aid medicines were distributed free of charge.
