RK Imo inaugurates rainwater harvesting system

Imphal, March 07 2025:
A rainwater harvesting system was inaugurated at the premises of SYPO Club, Sagolband Mabudhou Mantri Leikai, by MLA RK Imo in the presence of Imphal Municipal Corporation Ward No 7 former Corporator RK Jiten, community leaders, and locals, on Friday.
As part of the initiative, a water pump was also handed over to the club president to enhance water accessibility for the community.
According a statement issued by the office of MLA RK Imo, a similar system was recently inaugurated at Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi, with another coming up at Kakhulong (IMC Ward No 24) .
Addressing the gathering, RK Imo reiterated his commitment to both developmental projects and social causes, assuring that the "MLA Ana Layengi Tengbang" initiative continues even during the President's Rule as a personal effort to support the people.
The MLA also announced that a free health camp will be held at Paona Bazar on March 9, as part of ongoing series since 2022 to provide essential medical services and e-governance health solutions at people's doorsteps.
Towards enhancing public utility services, he announced installation of Water ATMs at Sagolband Meino Leirak and Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai hall to provide clean, mineral-rich drinking water.
The MLA further revealed plans for reconstruction of Sagolband Rishikul Upper Primary School into a G+1 structure, promising improved infrastructure for students and a multi-purpose space for community welfare activities.
