Imphal, March 27 2025: In memory of Shaheed CT/GD Surjit Singh of 31 Bn, CRPF who was martyred on January 1, 2003, the 109 Bn CRPF Mongsangei installed a martyr memorial statue at his home town in Kakching Ningthou Leikai (Mandop Maning) today.

At the programme, homage and tribute was paid to the martyred by Brijesh Kumar, Commandant-109 Bn, Anil Kumar, Second-in-Commandant of 109 Bn, and personnel of 109 Bn CRPF .

The programme was organised in the presence of Ex-MLA Th, Tomba Singh, martyr family members, and villagers Kakching Ningthou Leikai.

Speaking at the occasion, Brijesh Kumar, Comdt-109 Bn said that the gathering was held to pay respect and homage to Shaheed CT/GD Surjit Singh, who laid down his life for the sake of the Nation and it's people.

"Surjit Singh's selfless act and unwavering commitment to the Nation's values and principles will always be remembered and cherished," said Brijesh Kumar.

Offering heartfelt condolences to the family of Shaheed CT/GD Surjit Singh, the Commandant of 109 Bn CRPF, Brijesh Kumar stated that his bravery and sacrifice will inspire many to work towards a brighter future for the Nation.
