Imphal, March 27 2025: The Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) in association with All Santhel Women Development Association organised a 1-day awareness programme on "Violence Against Women" at Community Hall, Santhel Bazar today.

The programme was graced by MSCW Chairperson, Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang; MSCW Members, Lourembam Dayabati Devi and Sk Sophia Moyon; Hangul Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Md Sikandra Ali and All Santhel Women Development Association secretary, Najam Phundreimayum as presidium members, said a release issued by MSCW.

In the technical session, Jametul Ulima Manipur secretary Mv Ruhul Amin delivered a lecture on the topic, "Women and Islamic Laws".

Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang spoke on "Women and Islamic Laws & Legal Rights of Women".

Nearly 120 men and women participated in the awareness programme.
