CRPF pays tribute to 'Saheed' E Ranjit Singh

86 Bn CRPF on Saturday paid tribute to 'Saheed' LNK E Ranjit Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting with the Pakistan-sponsored J&K militants in Jammu & Kashmir on April 20, 2000, by inaugurating his statue and unveiling a plaque in his honour.
In a release, CRPF conveyed that on the solemn occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of 'Saheed' LNK E Ranjit Singh, a CRPF delegation led by CRPF Manipur & Nagaland Sector IG Akhilesh Prasad Singh, 86 Bn CRPF Mohamand Yusuf along with Thoubal SP Rakesh Balwal visited his home at Lamding, Elangbam Leikai in Thoubal district.
As part of the programme, the speakers reflected on the unparalleled bravery and selflessness exhibited by E Ranjit along with stating that his selfless dedication to duty and supreme sacrifice would continue to inspire all and reinforced the values of duty, honour and sacrifice that define the CRPF, it added.
The release also mentioned that gifts were presented to his family members, as a token of eternal appreciation.
