People from different areas, particularly set-tling along the Imphal Moreh road, took part in the rally that be-gan from MU gate and ended at the same after covering Singjamei traf-fic crossing.
Large num-ber of police personnel of Singjamei police station and Imphal West district police were deployed to prevent occurrence of unwanted incidents.
The protestors shout-ed slogans includ-ing 'Unfit 50 MLAs, Prime Minister, Home Minister and Manipur MPs should resign and 'CSOs should join hands and work unitedly or stay away from the issue' among others.
Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, CSF publicity secretary Robert recalled their demand that the 50 MLAs remain politically neutral and demon-strate unity within seven days so that people can follow them.
However, as the elected people's representatives continue to undermine the people's voice and aspiration the protest had to be launched, he reasoned while inform-ing that memorandums were also submitted to chief minister to end the conflict and restore peace and normalcy in the state.
