Aid distributed to village volunteers, relief camp

Imphal, November 28 2023:
A team of leaders of 10 political parties provided two binoculars, 46 mattresses and 86 blankets to representatives of Heinoubok Waroiching Women's Joint Committee on Tuesday for the village volunteers who are defending Leimaram and Heinoubok villages under Oinam assembly constituency.
The items were handed over jointly by JDU's Dr Nimaichand Luwang and Dr Kh Loken, NCP president S Iboyaima, CPI(M) state secretary Kh Shanta and secretariat member Sarat Salam, AAP co-ordinators T Jugindro and Nurul Hinam, Shiv Sena (Udhav Thakre) state president T Devan and vice president Kh Ranjit, and RSP state secretary K Manoranjan Singh, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nimaichand contended that as the ongoing conflict is a political issue the solution must be centred on political conclusion.
Mentioning that the so called 'Separate Administration' demanded by Kukis is unattainable, he emphasised that government must realise that people of the state want peace.
On the other hand, NEILIT Computer Training centre, Kwakeithel Bazar; Lei-ka Pre-Primary Teachers' Training Institute; arid Ma-heikol Boys' Hostel donated essential materials at relief camps set up at Minority OBC Girls Hostel, Urup; Nongada; and Khurai on November 25.Meanwhile, social worker Kongkham Manglem and his family distributed blankets and monetary aid to displaced people working at Imoinu Brick Field, Bishnupur on November 23 .
