AITA Men's Open tennis tournament concludes

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) One Lakh Men's Tennis Tournament, 2023, which commenced on November 20, concluded at IDTA Complex, here, on November 24.Organised by Imphal District Tennis Association under the aegis of Manipur Tennis Association, the tournament featured 32 players from across the country.
Chief secretary Vineet Joshi, who attended the closing function as chief guest, lauded Manipur as a powerhouse of sports, as had been demonstrated by the outstanding performances of the state's sportspersons in national and international tournaments.
He congratulated the players for their efforts and assured that the government would look into infrastructure development for sports.
In the tournament, Bushan Haobam of Manipur won the Men's Singles title defeating Ashwarjit Senjam.
In Men's Doubles, Bushan Haobam and H Shanker claimed the title, while T Brojen and S Bickey secured the runners-up position.
The chief guest distributed certificates and trophies to the winners and runners-up.
The tournament's prize money was contributed by parents of state's tennis players and members of Imphal District Tennis Association.
The closing function witnessed the presence of Imphal District Tennis Association president H Balkrisna and other office bearers of the association.
