Senapati, November 28 2023:
The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has put off its stir against mobile internet ban for a few more days.
The stir was supposed to resume from November 27 but was put off for some days following a "fervent" request made by the "Naga Legislators' Forum to the student body on behalf of the State Government.
The Naga student body has been demanding the Government to declare the results of the recruitment of 190 posts (145+45 ST Special drive) of Assistant Professors and open mobile internet service in all areas not affected by violence.
"While acknowledging the initiatives of the State Government in partial opening of the internet connectivity in some parts of the district Headquarters not affected by violence, ANSAM would like to urge the Government to provide internet in all the interior areas of the State not affected by violence and also to declare the results of recruitment of Assistant Professors promptly as per the assurance," said the student body.
