Skill training organised, input distributed

Imphal, November 28 2023:
A three-day skill development training cum input distribution programme focusing on crocheting, knitting and hand embroidery concluded at the Sardar Patel High School relief camp, Khurkhul in Imphal West district on November 24.The event was organised by ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Churachandpur, Chandel, Imphal West, Tamenglong & Ukhrul) in collaboration with ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre.
The closing function was attended by ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Manipur Centre head Dr Ramgopal Laha.
A total of 22 inmates staying in the relief camp actively participated in the programme.
During the inaugural ceremony, Dr Ramgopal distributed training kits to the inmates.
The event saw active involvement of three senior scientists cum heads of KVKs (Churachandpur, Chandel, and Imphal-West) along with staff of KVK Churachandpur.
In the technical session, KVK Churachandpur SMS (Home Science) Dr S Roma conducted hands-on training on crocheting, knitting and hand embroidery.
The training programme was coordinated by Ph Chandramaiii of ICAR-KVK Churachandpur, Manipur Centre.
Dr Ramgopal Laha fully supported and guided the training programme, which aimed at empowering individuals with valuable skills while contributing to their well-being and self-sufficiency.
