Minister Dingo calls for unity

Social Welfare minister H Dingo has called upon the youth of Sekmai assembly constituency to stand united and stop any attempt to politicise their unity amid the ongoing crisis in the state.
Attending a youth's convocation for Sekmai AC held at Khurkhul Mayai Leikai community hall on Saturday wherein floral tributes were paid to those killed in the present conflict and a two-minute silence observed in honour of the departed souls, minister Dingo said that Sekmai assembly constituency is also one of the constituencies that has been hit hard by the crisis with activists of local Meira Paibi Lups, clubs and village volunteers facing the crisis by spending several sleepless nights.
He said that he is happy to declare that the constituency has its own village volunteers' force and he is thankful to the courageous youth, who came out and shouldered the responsibility of protecting the villages, especially those located at the foothills.
Elaborating on the threat the state is facing from Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists, he said that this is not the time to play politics and the youth should not let politics to destroy their unity.
The minister also assured his full support to any decision arrived at the convocation, which was also attended by elected members of five GPs of the AC .
