Imphal, October 14 2023:
EK Higher Secondary School secretary P Saratchandra has said that the people of the state were shocked when security advisor Kuldiep Singh declined to declare death the two missing students citing lack of evidence.
Addressing media persons at the school campus Saturday, P Saratchandra said a special team of CBI arrested four persons in connection with kidnapping and killing of students Linthoingambi and Hemanjit on October 6 and alleged mastermind of the killing had been arrested from Pune on Friday.
However, bodies of two missing students are yet to be recovered, he pointed out and questioned reason behind non-recovery of the bodies.
India being fourth largest military in the world could have saved lives of the two students who went missing from July 6 but unable to even bring out bodies of the two students, P Saratchandra said adding security advisor Kuldiep Singh's remark that the two missing students cannot be declared dead until recovery of their bodies shocked people of the state.
Expressing hope that government will locate and retrieve bodies of the two students one day, P Saratchandra said real bodies of the two students must be brought out and scientific studies to ascertain torture done to them carried out compulsorily when the bodies are found.
