Imphal, October 14 2023:
The Leimaram Waroiching Youth Development Club (LWYDC) has appealed to all the civil bodies, organisations and individuals to introspect and support the present Government under the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh in their endeavour to solve the present crisis by giving valuable suggestions & input to the Government instead of playing politics in this critical juncture.
In a release, the Club shared that of late various organisations and individuals have expressed their desire to bring PR in Manipur as the present dispensation/ Government failed to bring peace in the State.
"The war against drugs, war against narco terrorist and war against illegal foreign immigrants who have been planning to break Manipur since a long time cannot be solved immediately.
Naturally, it will take some more time for which every indigenous people of the State needs introspection", it added.
The Club asserted that since the War on Drugs campaign began in 2018, thousands of acres of poppy plantation have been destroyed, drugs worth thousands of crore of Rupees have been recovered by various security forces and many illegal settlements in Reserved Forest Areas have been destroyed by the State Government.
It continued that the process of NRC has already been started and many temporary settlements have been constructed to resettle internally displaced people (IDP) .
"Slowly, normalcy has started coming back with the effort of this Government.
PR is what the narco-terrorists have been demanding.
So, imposing PR will be like helping narco-terrorists", it concluded.
Meanwhile, a joint meeting of Moidangpok, Moidangpok Khunou and New Keithelmanbi Village Management Committee was held on Friday at the premises of Recent Youth (RY) Club, Moirangpok to discuss the existing situations and development of Manipur.
The meeting acknowledged and appreciated the holistic efforts made by village volunteers, Meira Paibee, State Force and Central Investigating Agencies to bring normalcy & peace in the State, said a release issued by RY Club.
The joint meeting observed that the resolution taken by the Congress Working Committee meeting held in New Delhi on October 9 to change the incumbent CM of Manipur was ill-timed, selfish and opportunistic with total disrespect of people's aspiration.
It also urged all concerned to not play politics in these difficult times, rather give suggestions and directions to the current Government so that all indigenous people of the State can coexist peacefully like before.
The people of Moidangpok, Moidangpok Khunou and New Keithelmanbi further conveyed their full faith in the present Government of Manipur and declared that they will extend all possible cooperation to the Government and its machineries in their effort to restore peace & normalcy in the State.
