Speaking on the occasion, Association secretary (organisation) Khuraijam Thasana pointed out that the Nupilal of 1904 and 1939 have shown the bravery of Meetei women across the globe.
She continued that the present unrest in the state which has been caused by the infiltration of Kuki narco-terrorists not only threatens the existence of the Meetei community but also the integrity of the state.
The present mothers have the same courage and bravery in their veins as the women who fought in the two Nupilal.
The mothers have an unwavering stand to defeat any threat to Manipur and thus, the womenfolk will hoist the flag of victory especially the Salai Taret flag at Kangla Fort once they neutralize this threat.
Association advisor Y Indrani said that the onslaught of Kuki militants on Manipur could be considered as an invitation for the third Nupilal.
Just as the mothers did during the two Nupilal, the present mothers of the state are still standing strong for Manipur, along with the wish of all 35 indigenous communities to live in peace and harmony.
As long as the mothers are alive, Kuki narco-terrorists from outside or any other external force cannot disintegrate Manipur, she remarked.
