Minister Nemcha reaches out to IPDs

As a part of the ongoing measures to provide relief and rehabilitation to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the wake of the ethnic clashes in Manipur, minister Nemcha Kipgen has extended financial aid for those living in relief camps in Kangpokpi.
The minister provided financial assistance to inmates in relief camps at ITI Kangpokpi and DIET Centre, Leikop on Wednesday.
Apart from the financial aid, Nemcha also distributed food items to inmates of the two relief camps.
Earlier, on July 8, she had provided similar financial aid to the IDPs in one of the relief camps at Kangpokpi.
Speaking to media persons, Nemcha informed that as assured by Union Home minister Amit Shah for rehabilitation of displaced people from Kuki community during his visit to the state, she extended financial assistance to the relief camp inmates in Kangpokpi and also took stock of conditions of the relief camps.
She also mentioned that during the interaction with the inmates, they expressed deep gratitude to the Union home minister for fulfilling most of the assurances he gave during his visit.
