Imphal, August 02 2023:
RPI (A) national secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam submitted memorandums to central ministries, MP office and leaders of CSO highlighting genesis of the ethnic conflict in the state.
Among others, Maheshwar petitioned Lok Sabha BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Ministry of Women and Child Development office and New Delhi-based Bharat Raksha Manch leader Suryakant Kelkar.
Speaking in this regard, Maheshwar informed that as Kuki narco-terrorists are hand-in-glove with Kuki militants under SoO to destroy the integrity of Manipur, such vital information merits the attention of everyone concerned.
He further said that normalcy will return in the state only when actions are taken against those Kuki militants violating SoO ground rules, NRC implemented in the state and rejection of separate administration demand.
Observing that people have lost their trust on Assam Rifles considering the unrest situation, he said that there is no reason to deploy Assam Rifles in the state as.
they could not stop the attacks on innocent people by illegal immigrants.
As the on-going conflict in the state has become a national issue, the initiative to submit the memorandums was taken up so that maximum number MPs in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are aware about the conflict and discuss the same during the ongoing monsoon session, he said.
